Art as we know it takes many forms and the creative minds of artists continues to give us more. The creation of art is motivated by there being some complex emotions and parts of ourselves that we cannot express using words. The iron used in this type of work could differ as wrought iron could be used or cast iron. The difference is that wrought iron is more pure while cast iron will take a gray appearance. Before civilization was what it is today iron had many uses including making weapons. To have the two irons , there are different processes that are applied. Wrought iron is forged with the use of an anvil. Cast iron however has a slightly complicated process where the iron is put into a furnace, stocked with different layers of coking iron and different molds will be poured. There is another type of wrought iron that you can actually do by hand.
This is called hand wrought iron work. This hand process will involve heating the iron hard then hammering it which gives different textures and designs for the metal as well. True carbon is hard to come by in some locations and this is the reason why some iron will be mixed with a little steel. With ready iron its easy to come up with different architectural designs. One customer will have different needs from another meaning the professional will be doing a lot of custom jobs.
